On June 28, 2012, Mayor Lee Leffingwell proclaimed Akina Adderley Day in Austin, Texas! I was invited to City Hall for the official ceremony, during which I performed a song with a few Vintage Playboys and was presented with a beautiful proclamation by Sheryl Cole. I am humbled, honored, and so incredibly thankful for this recognition. Happy Akina Day to all!
